With this sponsored post I would like to talk about SoloSEO seo software which gives you a suite of web based tools to manage and optimize your SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
Over the years I've seen various tools to generate keywords, etc. and I never really see anything that pushes it up a notch. Generating good PR (page rank), you need a few things in place. Keywords, backlinks, rich content are just a few ingredients in the pie to make a site successful.
Reading their introductory text, I see that all of these are mentioned and offered for a $29/month subscription, but I was still doubtful that these tools would really deliver. The great thing with SoloSEO is that they offer a fully functional trial subscription of two weeks. I thought I'd give it a good try so I can provide a thorough review for everyone.
After creating my account and logging in (no initial purchase necessary -- I hate it when business do that for a trial!), I was on my way. The first thing that struck me was the clean web 2.0 feel of the application itself. Clicking on each primary navigation gave a nice summary description of the tools and applications below them. Each primary navigation then exposes a secondary navigation of the actual tools.
First section I hopped to was the 'Keywords'. Here they provide a central area to store and manage your keywords based off of your site. Additional tools include Keyword Finder (which uses Adwords, WordTracker, Overture), Site Scan (which will retrieve and analyze keywords on your existing site) and Keyword Creator (which obviously creates keywords, but can add modifiers to them).
Ok, so I'm starting to get impressed with the functionality and detail that is included in the lapplication, but I wanted more. Lately, I've been exploring Backlinks, and they have a section for that. This is where things start getting really interesting. Here they offer the following tools Link Manager, Link Search, Competitor Links, Top Subpages and Link Build It.
Link manager is great to start managing backlink to your site. Normally, you'd store this in a spreadsheet, but now you can add this to a database, give it a 'strength', add contact info related to that link, and it also will get the PR of the backlink entered.. very cool.
Link Search is simply awesome! This will take a keyword phrase, and find available sites where you may have the possibility of entering your site's URL. For example, it may return a link directory, blog, comments, forums, etc.. that fit within the keyword. This is a fantastic tool to build relevant links to your site.
Link Build It was something that seemed really interesting as well. This is a Firefox bookmarkelet that will grab an interesting site you're browsing and add it to your link manager list, while supplying title, URL and PR.
Overall, I was really impressed with the tools and the ability to manage my keywords and backlinks. I wasn't expecting a lot going in, but was very pleased with what I found. I would highly recommend you signing up for the free trial, and take it for a test run. I think you'll be impressed as well!
