Over the months.. and guess it's been years, I've stressed the importance of Branding. Branding identifies you and your brand. When your selling a service or product, it's absolutely critical to brand that identity. Give visitor quick easy understanding of who you are or what your product is. Think about Google, eBay or Nike, they have clear simple logos and just seeing those logos, you'll know exactly what they're about. With a brand it's important to market. A brand is nothing unless you push that brand to the masses.
As a web development company, my purpose is pretty singular. It's to develop applications for my clients. But for these applications to succeed they need to have proper branding and marketing campaigns.
