Having my own web development business, I'm faced with challenge of maintaining a revenue stream to keep the business afloat. Usually, this comes down to new clients, maintenance or site upgrades to existing clients and monthly hosting. In the previous entry I touched upon hosting, but I'd like to talk about another potential source for revenue. That is internet marketing. In basic terms, making recurring revenue from web sites you create.
This is definitely not for everyone, and involves a lot of time and work. I'm not going into the 'How-Tos' of this, but when I started, the first step was to learn and understand some of the process. His site focuses on internet marketing and has some incredibly useful tips are articles. This is a new site, but worthy of exploring. He's provided some very nice info related to AdWords and Google Pagerank (see my previous entry).
When venturing into internet marketing, it is wise to see what everyone has to say; to take it all in. But remember to 'act', do something to see if your ideas are good, or not so good. Then focus on the good and repeat the process.
