While gallivanting around the web today, I came across an interesting community
driven site and concept. The site is whogets.com. It’s a sweepstake giveaway site, but with a unique twist. The twist is that member of the site actually determine ‘who gets’ the item.
WhoGets.com offers a wide range of prices between $10 and $600! The contest and the ability to vote on members are exclusive to WhoGets.com members only. The sign up is free and free from spam.
Once you're a member, you can enter a contest. There you would give a reason 'why' you should win the prize.
The online contest takes place in two different phases (semi-final and final rounds). The semi-final round lasts 7 to 14 days.
At the end of the semi-final round, seven contestants will be randomly selected as contestants for the final round. At this point the contests will be able to create a statement as to why they should win the item (or you can optionally leave a blank statement, but I bet adding a story to hug at the heartstrings will help you win out). WhoGets.com members will then vote for their favorite contestant. The final round usually lasts another 7 to 14 days. The contestants with the highest number of votes win!
I think this is a great community generated site, and site you can win some fantastic free stuff for just saying "I want it"
